Situated in the historic city of Rome, this proposal explores the potential for an agro-tourism villa in Parco Cafarella. Parco Cafarella is about 3 miles from the Colosseum, on an especially clear day you can see the dome of Basilica di San Pietro. Crossed by the Almone the park offers an agrarian vision of Rome. Of the park's many points of interest, the Nymphaeum of Egeria and Casale de Vaccareccia are the most important to this project.
The basic plan of the culinary school combines that of a villa, especially Villa Farnese, and a monastery. The central court borrows from the cloister garden tradition, replacing the planting program with that of a kitchen garden.
